Electric arc furnaces in the steel works process

  • The most common melting furnaces are those furnaces of electric arc type. In this type of furnace, an arc is passed between the electrodes through the scrap. The current is supplied to the electrodes by means of a transformer, which regulates the voltage and current parameters for each melting stage in the electric arc furnaces.
